AUTUMN GARDENING FAYRE – Saturday 9 th September

Well, what a Summer we are having, plenty of sun, but also a fair share of rain and
good growing weather for many plants, including the weeds! So I am hoping that we will
get a bumper crop of entries for the Autumn Gardening Fayre.

Slight change to the schedule – entries need to be staged on Saturday morning
between 8:30 and 9:15am

As usual entries need to be registered by Thursday 7 th September preferably by email
( exhibitsfgc@gmail.com ) – late entries will be accepted on the day but only if space is
available.

There will also be a raffle and delicious teas and homemade cakes served by Debbie
and her crew from Country Markets.

So why not start walking around your garden, allotment or both and see what you can
enter – you might be surprised and win a class or even a red rosette.

Fakenham Market Stall – Thursday 7th September

Following the success of last year, we are once again taking a stall at the Fakenham
Thursday Market. We hope current members might pop by and say hello, but we are
also hoping it will help us recruit new members.
You will be able to find us in front of the War Memorial from 9:00am

AUTUMN SOCIALS

We have two social evenings later in the year, both will be at the Fakenham
Cricket Club starting at 7:00pm
On 18 th October we are hosting Simon Harrap from who is going to talk to us about the
Wildflowers of North Norfolk.
Our AGM
will now be held on Monday 6 th November (not the 15 th as originally planned)
and we are pleased to welcome back Andrew Sankey on the same evening, who
last year entertained us with his talk on companion planting.
So, till our next event – enjoy your gardening. Look forward to seeing you all,

Andy
Chair, Fakenham Gardening Club
